Pressure guage does not work.
bought pump for tumble track - although good had to send the first one back as gauge was faulty
Looks great, but gage didn’t work which was the whole point of purchasing. Just sorting returning now.
The first pump we ordered broke on it's very first pump, the shaft attached to the handle completely sheared off. Luckily this was a test use in the garden rather than on a campsite.
It was returned with no quibbles and replaced with a pump that works. However I will always will take a spare just in case...............
Gauge is rubbish for inflatable kayaks as the valve on the kayak is a one way valve so the pump and gauge doesn’t read the pressure. The pump itself is very good.
I bought 2 inflatable mattresses that have both punctured along the seam because they were overinflated. So I decided to buy a new mattress and the recommended hand pump with pressure gauge so I could pump to the correct pressure (0.3-0.5 psi) only to discover when I got the pump that they gauge doesn’t start working until over 1 psi..!!! So I’m returning it and I’m also being charged a returning fee..!
It a good pump, slightly big I would say but for the purposes of inflating a mattress an overkill, just get the cheaper foot pump and make sure you don’t overinflate it!
Really easy to use on the kayak we bought. Pressure gauge indicative not accurate.
For those struggling to use it to deflate, remove the pressure gauge first.
The pump inflates very well, but we are unable to get it to work in deflate mode. This means getting all the air out the tent so that it be packed properly is extremely difficult. I don't think we're doing anything wrong in the deflate mode, but perhaps you could provide instructions. Given that the pump was the minor item in a very large order, and involves a 70 mile round trip to the store, perhaps you could suggest the easiest way to resolve please.
Pump is great but the pressure gauge is terrible. Very temperamental and is not sensitive enough.
Bought this particular pump to use with new (and expensive) inflatable kayak..... therefore do not wish to risk over inflation. The pump itself works fine but as some previous reviewers have noted, the pressure gauge appears to be completely useless. After using on the first valve it remained permanently at 1psi. On the second valve it shot up to 4 and then down to 2psi. On the third valve (bottom of the kayak), it was registering 2psi and the safety release valve cut in, meaning pressure had exceeded 3psi. I would suggest simply buying the cheaper pump without the gauge or looking elsewhere if the pressure gauge is reason for purchase.
