although big, helps in heavy rain. when close, water drips inside the umbrella through the hole and when reopen again, water drips out from the main stem to handle. possible design flaw ? foresee early product failure seeing how water flows and retain inside the umbrella, drying is quite impossible when close in this case.

For our golf umbrellas, they are actually designed mainly for playing golf at the course, so that you are protected from the UV sun rays. It can be used in rainy weather, but ideally only light rain, as golf players rarely practice the sport in heavy rain.

Wife wanted a LARGE umbrella and insisted on buying the BIGGEST available online.
But when she see the real thing in person, she complains it's too big and heavy for daily usage.

Poor design. The ribs are attached to the canopy by a thin piece of cotton which quickly snapped. A golf umbrella should be durable.
