DECATHLON PRODUCT RETURN AND EXCHANGE POLICY

BUY IT, TRY IT, LOVE IT!

If not, we’ll accept it for a refund or exchange with a smile.

If you have a DECATHLON loyalty barcode, you can return items within 365 days of the purchase date. If you buy an item at a store and without presenting a loyalty barcode, you can return the item within 30 days of the date of purchase by presenting the purchase receipt.

Receive a DECATHLON loyalty barcode free of charge and enjoy all the benefits whenever you need to exchange or return an item! 



How do free returns work?

We provide our loyal customers (loyalty barcode holders) with free returns. If you need to return an item, contact us +371 25783950 and we’ll give you step by step instructions on how to do it. In-store purchases can ONLY be returned at the store. When returning an item, choose the method of return that’s most convenient for you:

  • DPD courier

  • Omniva courier

  • DPD package locker (will be applied in 2021)

  • DPD cooperation partners (will be applied in 2021)

  • Omniva package locker (will be applied in 2021)



If you have a DECATHLON loyalty barcode
At DECATHLON we pride ourselves on the quality of our products and our dedication to customer satisfaction. If you have your own DECATHLON loyalty barcode, we’ll provide you with the opportunity to return items for up to 365 days after the date of purchase in the following cases:


1.  Items to be returned: unused and in their original packaging
If we find that the items are unused and in their original packaging, you can exchange these items or get a refund. For a detailed list of items that we can’t accept for return, please see HERE. In the event you wish to exchange an item, you will have the chance to choose the same product in another size or colour, depending on availability. If we cannot arrange the exchange, we will off you a refund.


2. If while using an item, you find that it does not meet the requirements of your level of sport
Please note that we do not accept returns of:
- items which we deem to have been deliberately damaged or improperly looked after,
- items which have been used for unintended purposes,
- items which we find are subject to normal wear and tear,

- items such as food and drink, gas canisters, personalised items, personal safety equipment. For a detailed list of products that are not eligible to be exchanged, see HERE

Based on our assessment (product condition and use duration or frequency), our DECATHLON team is entitled to accept or reject returned items, and in the event of a return, to choose the most appropriate solution (repair, exchange, partial or complete refund of the product purchase price).
In any of these cases, you will have to present your DECATHLON loyalty barcode and proof of purchase (a paper receipt or electronic invoice).
If at the time of purchase you present your DECATHLON loyalty barcode, we will automatically create an electronic copy of your purchase receipt, which you will be able to view from your customer account on the DECATHLON website.

If you don’t have a DECATHLON customer card

You are entitled to return items within 30 days of the purchase date by presenting proof of purchase (paper receipt or electronic invoice).



If a product is found to have a manufacturing defect

If your purchased product has a manufacturing defect, don’t worry! All DECATHLON brand products have a minimum warranty period of 2 years.*

If a defective product is returned after 30 days of use, we will first offer to repair it. If we cannot perform the repairs within a reasonable period of time, we will replace the item. If an equivalent item is not available, we will offer you a refund of the purchase price.

If the defective product is returned within 30 days of the date of purchase, you are entitled to receive a full refund of the sum paid, upon presentation of valid proof of purchase.

If at the time of purchase you present your DECATHLON customer card, we will automatically create an electronic copy of receipt, which you will be able to view from your customer account on the DECATHLON website.



If the item is not a DECATHLON brand product what is the warranty period?
For products from other brands DECATHLON provides a 1-year warranty, unless otherwise stated on the product. Your legal rights are protected by the Republic of Latvia’s Consumer Rights Protection Law.



How to return an in-store purchase?

You can only return items bought at a DECATHLON store in outlets in Latvia. When returning a purchased product, you must present the paper receipt and the loyalty barcode which you used at the time of purchase. Please note that purchases made in- store cannot be returned by consignment. Please note that we can only issue a refund to the holder of the loyalty barcode used at the time of purchase.

If you want to return a bike, before arranging the return consignment, the bike must be safely packaged in its original box.

How to return purchases made via the online store?
If you need to return an item bought via the online store, CONTACT US for step-by-step instructions on how to go about it.

In your postal consignment package, please insert a written note with your order number (or consignment group number). Without this information, we will not be able to process the return of your item.

If you wish to return several orders, you can return them together in one consignment.

However, please complete the return process for each order separately and do not forget to insert a completed return form into the consignment package for each returned order.

Please note that we cannot accept online returns of in-store purchases.

How to return online purchases in-store?

To return an online purchase in-store, please take the following steps:

  1. Click on "My account"

  2. Authorise

  3. Click on “See my electronic invoices’’

  4. Find the relevant order and click on "More information"

  5. Click on “View or print your invoice’’

  6. Print invoice

  7. Bring the items to be returned to your nearest DECATHLON store

  8. When returning the item(s), present the relevant invoice(s)


If you return products at your nearest DECATHLON store, you will receive the refund via the same method payment you used at the time of purchase, or you may exchange the product (depending on stock availability).

When will I receive the refund of the purchase price?

As soon as we receive the product back at our warehouse and assess its condition, you will receive an e-mail confirming that the return of your product is being processed.

After the condition of the item has been assessed and a decision has been made regarding a refund, you will receive a refund of the purchase price via the same payment method you used at the time of purchase.

CREDIT/DEBIT CARD

If you paid for an online purchase using a credit or debit card, you will receive the refund to the same card that you used to make the purchase.

PAYPAL

If you paid for an online purchase using PayPal, you will receive the refund to your Paypal account.

Do I have to cover the costs of returning the product?

If you received the order by means of one of the remote receipt options, upon contacting us you will receive instructions on how to return the product free of charge.

How to return damaged items?

You can return defective items at any DECATHLON store. DECATHLON team members will assess them and ascertain the reason for the defect.

Please bear in mind, we may ask you to provide photos that clearly show the damage to the item(s).

DECATHLON cannot accept returned items if they have been deliberately damaged or used improperly.

If a product’s warranty has expired, unfortunately we will not be able to provide a refund or exchange the item. You can view warranty information for each product on our website.

We may not be able provide repairs for products whose warranty has expired. For more information, consult your nearest store.
